Annual Chili & Cornbread Cook-off
Calling all Chili-heads

Saturday, November 15 2:00-5:00 pm at the playground
Not one, but TWO contests in ONE! Ready your taste buds for another round of chili-tastin' fun. Then, change gears to test, analyze, scrutinize, and probe the very essence and complexity of ingredients in ... cornbread!!
Yes - for those who can't compete on the chili level, bring your best cornbread, cornpone, Johnny-cake, or whatever you call it.
This annual event brings out the competition, so whether you love or just like A Bowl of the Red, you'll want to be a part of the fun and games.
Anyone who wants to enter prize winning chili or cornbread, you'll find a sign-up sheet located in the Parish Hall. On the day of the event, contestants need to be at the church at 1:30 PM with your goods ready to go. (If you need a burner to keep it hot, let Julie know.) Everyone who just wants to eat, be there at 2:00 PM with your lawn chairs and your preferred drinks. We will be on the playground, weather permitting. If it rains, come to the Parish Hall.
Think you have the endurance to judge 15+ bowls of chili? Or is your palate delicate enough to discern distinctions in cornbread? In other words....think you could be a judge? Let Julie Harrell know of your talent so she can determine who will be on the eminent and unbiased panel this year.
Don't miss this day of fun, fellowship and good food!
